What is not permitted inside the Harlingen Convention Center?
Fireworks, pets & animals, Firearms. No smoking within 20 feet of building. No outside food and beverage including alcohol. No ice chests, glitter, confetti, open flame candles, outside sternos.
Airwalls and walls of building/meeting rooms: No pins, needles, glue, nails, tacks, push pins, tape and gum/putty are allowed on any walls.
Can we place marshalling yard directional signs?
During events only. Nothing can be placed in plant beds, asphault or concrete. Must be professionally printed.
Does the Convention Center have security?
We have security cameras that are not monitored 24/7. All security will be negotiated on an individual basis on a group basis.
Does the contracted space come with room set up?
Can the client control access to the contracted space?
Yes In conjunction with the HCC staff. Terms of access will be decided.
Does the Convention Center provide easels or event specific signage?
These must be rented through our Audio Visual Team
Can the client affix anything to the walls or windows?
Does the Convention Center have a shipping and receiving department?
Executive offices will assist in your shipping needs. Certain fees will apply.

Does the Convention Center provide A/V, electricity, or water?
Electricity and Water. We provide Audio Visual for a fee. High Voltage Electricity will be at a fee. (Change)
Can we display vehicles in the Convention Center?
Are live plants allowed in the contracted space as part of the event?
Decorative plants are acceptable. Approved/discussed on an individual basis
Are there any courtesy phones available?
Can I go in to see the Convention Center space prior to contracting it?
Yes. Appts preferred. BY appt only.
How many parking spaces are at the convention center?
Is it lighted parking? Yes
Valet Parking? No. May be contracted out for your event.
Do you allow food trucks?
With approved health permit. Food and Beverage minimum must be met.
Do you provide Bartenders?
Yes. There is a fee per each bar.
